Join SCSA (South Carolina Science Academy) and Engineering for Kids on May 4th for a STEMulating morning of hands on, minds on activities for ages 10-13.
Saturday, May 4, 2013:
Levitrons use magnetic levitation to suspend them in air during travel. Magnetic levitation machines are not only more reliable than their wheeled counterparts, but they are able to obtain far greater speeds. In this mini workshop, students will explore the concepts behind electric magnetism; they will build and test a magnetic levitation vehicle to see how it operates.
